We distinguish between two types of asset allocation: strategic and tactical asset allocation.
Strategic asset allocation
The strategic asset allocation decides how the assets in a portfolio will be divided up by asset class according to the investor profile.
For profile-based asset management, we offer five investor profiles that take into account various degrees of sensitivity to risk and performance expectations.
Tactical asset allocation
Tactical asset allocation involves taking advantage of opportunities that arise on the financial markets by bringing an asset class over- or underweight when its valuation is no longer considered to be in line with its fundamentals. The aim of tactical asset allocation is to improve the portfolio's performance potential.
