A socially engaged artist: Arne Quinze

The links between culture and Banque de Luxembourg Belgium have taken a variety of forms over the years. Recognising its debt to the community that provides the framework for its development, the Bank actively supports many avenues of artistic expression by encouraging its employees to volunteer and providing the skills of its teams along with financial and logistical resources.

In this context, Banque de Luxembourg Belgium has signed a partnership with Gallery Ysebaert, which has 300m2 of exhibition space in Sint-Martens-Latem dedicated to architecture and art and an impressive sculpture garden.

Extending the exhibition space

Since 1st January, three paintings by the Flemish artist Arne Quinze have been on display at the Bank’s branch in Sint-Martens-Latem.

Arne was born in 1971, and lives and works in Sint-Martens-Latem. He started his career as a graffiti artist in the 1980s and today his work focuses on the themes of social interaction, urbanisation and diversity, expressed through drawing, painting and sculpture. Over the past 25 years, Arne has travelled the world, from Paris to Beirut, Washington to Shanghai. He believes that culture and nature should coexist and that public space should become an open-air museum, so that art can actively contribute to the promotion of tolerance and diversity.

Come visit us and have a look at Arne Quinze’s works on show at Banque de Luxembourg Belgium, Kortrijksesteenweg 218, Sint-Martens-Latem.

Open Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm. Entry is free.
