Cosita Delvaux

Cosita Delvaux joined the Bank’s Board of Directors in September 2023.

Before becoming a notary in 2011, she gained extensive experience as a lawyer before the courts and as a jurist in banking institutions. She holds a master’s degree in private law (1993) and a licence in economic and social administration (1994).

Cosita is currently President of the Council of the Notariats of the European Union (CNUE) for 2025. She has been a member of the Chamber of Notaries of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg since 2014 and served as its Secretary from 2018 to 2023.

Cosita has sat on the CNUE’s committee tasked with setting up and developing the digitisation of notaries’ practices since it was established. She also sits on its AML/CFT committee. Cosita is the Luxembourg notaries’ delegate on the European Affairs committee of the International Union of Notaries (UINL) and before that their delegate in the CNUE’s Company Law working group.

She was appointed to a special working group formed under the auspices of the Ministry of Justice to research reforming commercial company law as part of the law commission, the Commission d'études législatives.

Cosita is also a lecturer in company law, anti-money laundering and the financing of terrorism, notarial law and ethics as part of the notarial traineeship under the authority of the Ministry of Justice. She sits on the examination board for trainee notaries, a position she was appointed to by ministerial decree in 2014.
