Pierre Ahlborn

Pierre Ahlborn is Administrateur Délégué at Banque de Luxembourg.

Pierre joined the Bank in 1988 and was appointed to the Executive Committee in 1998. Two years later, he succeeded Robert Reckinger as Administrateur Délégué.

An economist by training, Pierre speaks four languages and also holds a master’s degree in geography. He was placed number 1 in Paperjam’s 2014 ranking of Luxembourg’s 100 most influential economic decision-makers.

Although a key figure in the economic and cultural life of Luxembourg, he is known for his unassuming leadership style and consistently puts his teams front and centre.

Deeply engaged in the community, Pierre sits on the board and acts as treasurer for the Red Cross. He chairs the board of the Luxembourg Philharmonic and serves on the boards of several other institutions, including the Luxembourg Stock Exchange, the Luxembourg Bankers’ Association (ABBL), the Fondation Idea, and the Fondation André Losch.
