Banque de Luxembourg wins Euromoney award in the Next Generation category

Banque de Luxembourg has been named ‘Best Private Bank in Luxembourg in 2020’ in the ‘Next Generation’ category by Euromoney, the leading international finance magazine.

Every year, Euromoney publishes its ‘Private Banking and Wealth Management Survey’, conducted among professionals who single out the best private banks in the global finance industry.

This ‘Next Generation’ award recognises all we do and the programmes we run for the next generation of families in business and we are grateful to our peers for this recognition. But it is above all thanks to our clients that we have won this award and we would also like to thank them for the trust they place in usPhilippe Depoorter, Member of the Management Committee and Family Practice Leader

Bespoke long-term support

"We believe that passing on a family business requires support not only for the current generation but also for the younger generations,” says Anne Goedert, Family Practice Adviser.

Banque de Luxembourg has been preparing the ‘Next Gen’ for its future role in the family business for more than 10 years. “Being born into a family in business means having to deal from a very early age (and sometimes for a great many years) with an environment charged with passion, work and a close interweave between the life of the family and that of the company,” explains Philippe Depoorter.

Young people in family businesses and the Covid-19 crisis

The survey we conducted in the spring of 2020 among representatives of the next generation highlighted the many questions they have, only exacerbated by the current crisis.
