Staying vigilant online

Any business could at some point be faced with a crisis situation. In some cases, due to illness or death, for example, an entrepreneur may be unable to ensure the continuity of the business. Yet business continuity is a subject that is often overlooked or even avoided by company managers, even though carefully considered solutions exist. It is important to anticipate all possible scenarios and to plan what actions should be put in place to protect the business and its employees, as well as the entrepreneur and the family.

Helping entrepreneurs prepare as well as possible

To help entrepreneurs prepare thoroughly for the unexpected, Banque de Luxembourg regularly organises workshops and conferences on the subject of business continuity.

At a conference on 26 October, in partnership with the Fédération des Artisans, Banque de Luxembourg invited a hundred or so Luxembourg entrepreneurs from the skilled crafts and trades sector to discuss this topic. Christian Reuter from the Fédération des Artisans and Charles Sunnen, coordinator from Banque de Luxembourg’s Businesses & Entrepreneurs division, welcomed the participants. Anne Goedert, Family Practice Adviser, led a round table discussion with Thorsten Böhm, Managing Director Parquet Böhm, Werner P. Carl, Managing Director Coplaning, Tun Di Bari, Head of Administration Legal & HR Dussmann Luxembourg and Claude Medernach, Family Expert Officer – Tax & Legal at Banque de Luxembourg.
