Staying vigilant online

On 23 and 24 March, the Cancer Foundation is organising the 2024 edition of the now traditional Relay for Life. Join us online or in person to show your solidarity.

Founded in 1994, the Cancer Foundation has set its sights on providing information and raising awareness among the public, offering practical support and advice to cancer sufferers, financing research and calling on the authorities to fight cancer together.

Relay for Life – 24 hours to symbolise a long journey

The Relay for Life is an annual fundraising event in which teams walk, run or cycle in relays for 24 hours, symbolising the patient’s journey from the moment of diagnosis. Drawing on the experience of the pandemic years, the event has since been organised in a hybrid format, ‘in-person’ at the Coque in Kirchberg or ‘remotely’, with participants invited to show their solidarity throughout the weekend, over a cumulative total of 24 hours.

Engaged as a caring and community player

Banque de Luxembourg has been a partner from the outset and, over and above a financial donation, is supporting the Relay for Life with a personal commitment: three teams of runners and around a hundred volunteers at the various catering stations and checkpoints are contributing their time and energy to the success of the 2024 Relay for Life. Mindful of our responsibilities towards all our stakeholders and indebted to the City of Luxembourg which provides us with the framework for our development, in return we are engaged in our local community.
