As part of its B Corp certification, Banque de Luxembourg is mobilising the Luxembourg business community around the challenges of sustainable development in a series of workshops entitled “Sustainable development as a value creator”. Co-hosted by TrAxxion experts, this series of five workshops is designed to provide practical solutions to the challenges of sustainable development.

Building long-term relationships with our clients and making an active contribution to the community of Luxembourg and beyond ... has always been one of our priorities.

Today, the world is facing unprecedented challenges in ecological and societal terms. Overcoming them is not just the responsibility of governments and public bodies. Businesses must also take action. Adopting a responsible stance has been part of our DNA since the early days of the company, and has prompted us raise awareness and support Luxembourg companies in the process of transition towards sustainability.

Naturally, as part of our commitment to B Corp certification, we have designed a programme that enables Luxembourg companies to launch, pursue or renew their commitment to sustainable causes, whatever their level of maturity or knowledge of these subjects.

Committing to sustainable development is a key factor in ensuring the longevity of a company for generations to come, and cannot be dissociated from profit targets or strategic criteria. Pit Linster, Head of Businesses & Entrepreneurs

The six-month programme consists of a series of five workshops focusing on different themes (Governance, Environment, Employees, Community and Clients). Each of the topics covered will get participants involved at different levels in the issues facing our future.

The workshops will be led by TrAxxion, whose role is to help companies assess and reduce their impact on the environment. The aim is to help participants reconcile performance and sustainability in a measured and practical way, assess their level of maturity, and design a concrete, tailored action plan.
