Think you’ve been
the victim of fraud?
Act now!

If you are a client of Banque de Luxembourg and think you’ve been the victim of fraud, then please follow the steps below:

1

Block your payment methods immediately

Contact Banque de Luxembourg immediately. During opening hours, you can get in contact quickly with your adviser or BL Support (Monday to Friday, 8 am to 6 pm) on (+352) 26 20 26 30.
Outside of opening hours, contact Worldline (24/7 service) immediately on  (+352) 49 10 10  to freeze your cards.

2

Block your LuxTrust certificate

If you have disclosed LuxTrust codes or authorised a suspicious transaction, contact LuxTrust (Monday to Friday, 8 am to 6 pm) on (+352) 24 550 550 or BL-Support (Monday to Friday, 8 am to 6 pm) on (+352) 26 20 26 30 to deactivate your certificate.

3

File a complaint with the competent authorities

  • If you are in Luxembourg: file a complaint with the Luxembourg Police.
  • If you are abroad: contact the local authorities to officially report the fraud and track the case.

Be vigilant

We recommend using LuxTrust Mobile, as it provides more information when validating transactions. Be particularly cautious around messages of an urgent/alarming nature and requests for codes, passwords or LuxTrust validations.
If in doubt, contact BL-Support on (+352) 26 20 26 30.

If you are not a client of Banque de Luxembourg and think you’ve been the victim of fraud, then please follow the steps below:

1

Contact your bank

Inform your bank or financial institution so that they can secure your accounts and advise you on what steps to take.

2

Secure your accounts and personal information

Block the card linked to fraud and immediately change your passwords for any online accounts that have been affected. Keep an eye out for any suspicious transactions on your bank/payment statements.

3

Do not respond to fraudulent communications

Block any emails, calls or messages linked to fraud to prevent further attempts.

4

Inform Banque de Luxembourg

Even if you’re not a client, we would advise you to notify us via our contact form or by contacting our BL-Support service on (+352) 26 20 26 30 (Monday to Friday, 8 am to 6 pm). This will help us to detect and prevent further fraud attempts.

Be vigilant

Be wary of links received via email, text message or social media that may appear genuine but lead to fraudulent websites, and of unusual or urgent communications that ask for your personal information.
For your security, always check that the address for our website begins with  https://www.banquedeluxembourg.com  and that there’s a padlock symbol at the top of the secure page, with the padlock being closed.
If in doubt, contact BL-Support on (+352) 26 20 26 30.
